Training machinists and mechanics
fter a stint in the employ of Nordan Forestman Ltd, in Ontario, Sébastien Desfossés opened his first business: Diesel du Suroit Inc. offering repair services for heavy equipment. In so doing, Sébastien ‘came back home’ all the while practising his trade.
In 2006, he was involved in the development of the CMI mulcher and then in the training of both machinists and mechanics for the use and upkeep of that impressive machine.

Mechanics and forestry
With all his experience in the fields of mechanics and forestry, Sébastien Desfossés established Broyage SD Inc. Benefiting from his knowledge, his skills and his machine know-how, the young entrepreneur became involved in large-scale projects and worked with world leaders in the construction field.
Karine Fréchette, born in an agricultural setting and intrigued by tractors since her childhood, became part of this new venture. She quickly learned to manage the various facets of the company. Her strength of character and her determination made significant contributions to the success of Broyage SD.

Responding to customer needs,
Broyage SD invested heavily in equipment to deal with the mandate given by one of its major clients.
When the situation worked to their disadvantage, Sébastien Desfossés and Karine Fréchette rolled up their sleeves to deal with it and their perseverance paid off: they found new clients and contracts that enabled them to maintain the workers who had joined their ranks over the preceding years.
